Welcome to the cover page for registration to the 2022 NARGS AGM hosted by the Adirondack Chapter in Ithaca, New York. Activities will be based on the campus of Cornell University (June 14– 17) Unlike the registration page, you will be able to return to this cover page to access an overview of events for the AGM. Furthermore it will prepare you for the information you will need to supply when you register.

At this time we are cautiously optimistic we will be able to meet in person but as we all know, the state of COVID will ultimately determine this. Rest assured, we will have an AGM but it may have to be held remotely. In that unlikely event we must all make the appropriate adjustments. With an in-person gathering, we will have to follow current Cornell guidelines which can be found here.

Information

REGISTRATION DEADLINE 5/25/22

Prepare to answer these questions before you register: Will you be will staying on or off campus? For on campus housing do you want a single or double occupancy room? Do you have a preferred roommate? Will you register for the optional Pre-AGM Syracuse day trip? Will you be bringing a guest to the banquet?

Please be prepared to select one boxed lunch option for Wed and Thurs, and one for the Pre AGM trip if you are attending. You will also select your entree for the banquet.

If registering more than one person, you will need to register each person individually, and use a separate email address for each person.

Before starting the registration process, have your email up in another window or tab, as you will need to access a verification code sent to you during registration. You will have 25 minutes from the start of registration until your cart will time out. Once your registration is completed, you will not be able to re-enter the registration site. Changes can be made by contacting Conference and Event Services at conferences@cornell.edu. Please put NARGS in the subject line of your email.

To register another person, return to the event page Here. and begin registration for the second person. If you are returned to the Registration successful page, look for the person icon in the top right of your screen, and log out. Important When you go to the Log in button for the second registration, be sure to "change Email" and enter the other person's email address. Your email address is your unique identifier in the system. If you use your email for 2 people, it will over write your 1st registration with your second registration.

If you fear you have done this, please email the names of both people, and the payment confirmation numbers for both transactions to us. We can then see which person is currently registered, have the second person re- register, and will already have a transaction to link for your payment.

If you only have 1 email address in your household, you will need to email all of the registration information to Conferences@cornell.edu. We will then register the person, and send you your total for the payment processing page.

Lodging: There are 2 styles of lodging avaiable for you. There is on campus housing, and there are 2 hotel room blocks reserved for those who prefer a hotel experience.

We also identify areas of high risk for our folks with food allergies including foods produced in shared oil, and at high risk for cross contact including baked goods and ice cream. We have purple allergy awareness signage throughout our dining halls to help identify areas of high risk. If you are sensitive or allergic to an item that we do NOT label for, or if Cross Contact is a concern, please fill out the form here at least 14 days prior to your arrival date so that we can provide appropriate options for you.

Book Preorder We are accepting pre-orders of the book High Mountain Flowers of the Patagonian Andes (written in both English and Spanish) authored by Marcela Ferrerya, Cecilia Ezcurra, and Sonia Clayton. Price: $30. This is the 2nd edition printing of the book published by Literature of Latin America and difficult and expensive to purchase in the U.S. It is a great value, with over 1000 color photos (365 species) of those wonderful Patagonian flowers, providing information on their characteristics and the environment in which they develop.

One of the authors, Marcela Ferrerya, is well-known to NARGS members having spoken at annual general meetings and slated to lead a NARGS tour to Patagonia later this year (2022).
